40 in the year of 40 – One week to go
In case you were wondering (oh, the self-obsessed arrogance of the suggestion!) … I thought it was worth a quick update on progress towards completing my 40 in the year of 40 list, especially given that time is about to run out. In a week I will be 41.
I’ll cut to the chase. To date I have completed 38 and the final 2 will happen in the next 7 days. I am about to get measured up for number 39, which will take place tomorrow…
I’m slightly behind in my write ups, partly because the ‘achievements’ have been coming thick and fast in the past few weeks. I have also not tried to write them up in the order in which they happened. Sometimes, as was the case with number 29, my last post, the mood of the moment necessitated a quick write up. On other occasions, different events have taken over. I hope this has not been too confusing.
Actually, I hope that I’ve not bored people to tears with my ramblings over the past few months. The good thing about blogs is that readers can take what they want, when they want.
Regardless of all of that … I have found experiencing the experiences, and writing about them, to be one of the best things I have ever done, which is a real relief. I will always remember the nervousness with which I set out. I have learned a lot about myself … and I’ll no doubt write a fully reflective piece when I have documented all 40.

Mr Read, I will do that anyway … but it won’t be #40. The only question is Friday or Monday? Hmm
